Our pond in our courtyard has 12 Japanese Koi and a variety of plants. The teachers use it to illustrate science objectives or to provide a nice reading and creative writing area for students! We were recognized by our district superintendent for our efforts to beautify our campus. The Student Council keeps everything beautiful and growing in our courtyard. Our 135 gallon aquarium supports a variety of freshwater life. This tank use to be a saltwater aquarium, but we recently changed it to freshwater. The large orange fish are Parrot Fish, and they were actually genetically grown from two other types of fish. Follow the link below to see a short movie of our aquarium.
